“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things … I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”
These verses have always reflected my personal theology – that faith is a joyous and happy thing. My faith has always brought me great joy and centers me. Looking back, I cannot remember a time when I did not know and love God … even as a very young child. Over the years, that faith has deepened. It is what sustains me. Immersed in His love and strengthened by Him, I go out into the world and share that faith with others however I can.
